Amir R. Amir
Amir R. Amir is the visionary behind Equitium. He served as Managing Partner of The Equitium Group, LLC since its formation in 2006.
Following Equitium’s acquisition of Caswell-Massey in 2007, Mr. Amir served as the CEO of that storied personal care company until 2011. In addition, he served as CEO of another Equitium portfolio company, high-end fashion house Luca Luca, from 2008 until 2013.
Prior to founding Equitium, Mr. Amir was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company from 2000 until 2005. While his client roster spanned many industries, his focus was the consumer products sector. From a functional perspective, he specialized in advising companies on product development and innovation.
Mr. Amir is the author or co-author of two computer programming books, three chapters for an aerospace engineering textbook, over 15 articles for the Encyclopaedia Britannica, and six academic papers.
Mr. Amir holds three degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He earned a BS in 1993, an MS in 1995, and an Engineer’s degree in 1998.
He grew up in Vienna, Austria.
